100 Years Celebration of Laurel & Hardy

100 Years Celebration of Laurel & Hardy

Thurs 23 Apr 2026, 7.30pm

Following the success of his 2023/24 tour, Neil Brand invites you to celebrate the centenary of Laurel and Hardy with a brand-new live show.

In 1926, Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy each signed separate contracts with Hollywood film mogul Hal Roach. That same year, they appeared for the first time in the same film, 45 Minutes from Hollywood. Just a year later, they officially teamed up—launching a comedy partnership that would go on to bring laughter to audiences in more than 130 countries and make them global icons.

We’re proud to present An Evening with Laurel & Hardy: The 2026 Centenary Tour, a new production by Neil Brand—celebrating 100 years of one of the world’s most beloved comedy duos.

Neil Brand has long been recognised as the leading authority on silent film and live improvised piano accompaniment. In this show, he brings newly restored silent classics—and some rediscovered, lesser-known gems—to the stage with his signature live piano performances. Expect extended scenes from timeless films such as You're Darn Tootin', The Finishing Touch, and The Second Hundred Years, all brought vividly to life.

Renowned for his warm and engaging style, Neil offers a personal connection with the audience, sharing unique insights into Laurel and Hardy’s comedy and the early days of cinema. Each performance includes a live Q&A session, where Neil answers audience questions, followed by a post-show Meet and Greet.

Currently working on both a television documentary and a new book about “The Boys”, Neil Brand is thrilled to be taking this centenary celebration on tour—honouring the enduring genius of Stan Laurel and Oliver Hardy with humour, history, and heart.
